Windows distribution won't launch

For some reason, the Windows distribution won't start. I have tried multiple ideas, including running the game with compatibility mode for Windows 8, but it still won't work. Someone commented that the game only worked after copying and pasting all files in another Renpy game, and that makes me believe there's a problem with the Renpy compiler or something. I'll try to compile the game on Linux - maybe Renpy will work better there - but, until then, use the method mentioned above.

I am very sorry for the trouble it has caused. I've tried embedding the game onto the page so there would be no need to download anything, but itch.io says there are too many files.
